Mochi Media is shutting down
It’s very sad, but it’s official: Mochi Media is shutting down all their services by March 31.
Mochimedia was the biggest ads/distribution network for Flash games and was alive since 2005, when the Flash games market was growing vertically.
I use Mochi Media for every game I made in Flash. Now I, as several other developers, need to find another safe place to upload our games.
Accordingly to the official blog post the parent company has decided to solve the Mochi Media business. Just that. It seems too few words to a giant community.
- First, download the last version of all your games hosted in the Mochi Media servers. Download any data you need as soon as possible. If you games are hosted in other servers, they should continue to work as expected.
- As an advice, you can optionally upload your games to the sites where your game has more visits
- If you have more than $100.00 on your account, you will be paid automatically and If you have more than $10.00 and less than $100.00 you can claim it using this the Final Payment Request Form.
I’m still searching for other service to replace Mochi Media. Right now there is two services that seems promising: CPMStar and Ad4Game. I’ll give them a try very soon.
